Nepal Tourism Year 2011
Government of Nepal in consultation with Nepalese travel trade sector and concerned organizations/experts decided on October 25, 2008 to launch a national tourism campaign "Nepal Tourism Year 2011".Nepal formally launched the promotional campaign for Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NYT 2011) last week. The campaign aims to establish the country as a premier holiday destination choice with a definite brand image.
The Nepalese government is now focusing on improving infrastructure like hotels and the airport to provide facilities to tourists during NYT 2011, which targets one million tourist arrivals.
Nepal Tourism Board will also carry out different international promotional activities for the promotion of NYT 2011, which includes sales missions and roadshows in tourist generating countries, and familiarisation tours for international journalists.
